so i get the endorsement letter, switch out a name, and hunt down signatures in a span of 4 hours give or take. head over to bcc, get through security to the hr and submit all required papers, get told to either wait or come back for a talk with the head hr person, and were sent on our way. kill time for another 3 hours. waiting is a bitch.

get back to the hr and see ms. prado. and in a few minutes it's over. orientation on saturday. we start monday.

epilogue:

head back to school to see my adviser and give him updates and needed paperwork. instead we get the department head. well enough. we tell him of our good fortune and get dressed down. in front of 4 or 5 members of the faculty and a couple of students. long sermon short, we've given him an assload of trouble for our "selfishness".

ho hum

i'm sorry i had a goal and achieved it. desperate times call for desperate measures. if the admin had spoken to the establishments sooner teachers wouldn't have to beg for slots that we back out of for something better and students wouldn't have to be taking things into their own hands.

the system is less in my eyes that ever before.
